I can imagine Agatha Christie or Ngaio Marsh using Patrice's cake as a clue to the murderer.

Heh heh heh. I often laugh out loud when I visit cake wrecks (about once every 3 months). I am also often amazed at what I see, in a "how can they have been so dumb" sort of way!!
