Is listening to a book on CD, podcast, tape or watching the video as good as reading it?

Where might a Kindle, Stanza, ePub or iPad come in to this conversation?

There are Pro's & Con's when I read from my Kindle ~

~I miss turning a page.
~I miss the book smell.

~I don't miss the juggling act of trying to eat and read at the same time.
~I like the convenience of carrying a slim parcel which holds MULTIPLE items I can read. Almost as if I'm building my own portable private library.
