Google Logo - H. G. Wells

Google finally explained their logo transformations after a couple of weeks surrounded by aliens and flying saucers. The search giant unveiled a on September 5th which was picturing a UFO that was abducting an “O”.

When Google released a Twitter message which read "51.327629, -0.5616088", web sleuths found that the string of numbers was the latitude and longitude for Woodham Road in Woking, Surrey.

Ten days later on September 15th Google unveiled a new doodle which consisted of crop circles, and a flying saucer which somehow abducted the “L”. This was somewhat unexplainable although @Google tweeted the coordinates of Horsell Commons, or the location of the first alien landing in “The War of the Worlds”, a book written by H.G. Wells in 1898.

All along Google was preparing to celebrate the 143th anniversary of H.G. Wells, but all was clear today when the new logo surfaced.

Herbert George Wells would have been 143 on 20 September, and Google's logo shows an invasion of UFOs as a tribute to a man who envisioned extraordinary things that could happen to our beloved Earth.

This memorial Google doodle is great like always and it’s nice that the search giant pays a tribute to one of the best novelists in the world ever. Well, if you haven’t read the books then you probably seen one of these movies: “The Time Machine” or “The War of the Worlds.”
