Do You Ever Feel Like a Tea Bag?

One of my favourite tea mugs is white with a comfy handle and the image of a tea bag as if it was hanging just inside the cup about halfway down. It kinda catches people by surprise the first time they drink from it. It's a clever and humourous design.

So when I heard the following quote from Mrs. Roosevelt, I had to laugh.

We are like tea bags, we don't know how strong we are until we were thrown into hot water.
Eleanore Roosevelt

I'll think of that each time I drink from that cup.

More quotes from ER:

"One should always sleep in all of one's guest beds, to make sure that they are comfortable."

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'

You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with courage and with the best that you have to give.

You must do the things you think you cannot do.

My mom enjoyed reading about the wives of American presidents. Barak Obama is reportedly reading about past presidents as he prepares for his role in the oval office and the world. Have you read a well written biography about an inspirational person lately?

That teabag quote features on my blog. Everyday. Probably because of all the hot water I get into.
