If anyone asks nicely, I'll send you my grandma's pumpkin bread recipe. We used to bake it in 1 lb. coffee cans she'd saved, washed out and set aside. Then we'd wrap them in pretty papers, add a bow and give them away to friends and family.Her paperboy got one, the guys on the garbage truck . . . .
In Zimbabwe I actually started with a pumpkin when I made pumpkin bread, rather than a tin from the supermarket. Different texture, but yummy all the same.
