As a public speaker, I often quote my dad, who has considerable experience in public speaking. I know that sometimes I am quoting him quoting others, but the original source has sometimes been mislaid. No disrespect intended. When anyone says something so wise and so quotable, the value of their words are likely to make more of an impression than the their name.

What are your favourite quotes, either public or family in origin?
