Hope
Keeps us going, listening, showing up, filling in forms, eating green veggies.

Love
More readily shown when we're all scared spitless.

Why does our loved one have to be at risk before everyone grows up and plays nice?

My first response? Because ego has little chance to flourish in a crisis....
I'm sure there are other explanations....
