On a train tomorrow . . .

We'll be leaving here early in the AM to drive 4 hours to Chennai where we'll then get a train, 12 hours, to Kerala state, just to the west, along the coast most accessed by European traders. I'll visit a synagogue from the 1500's, the backwaters where boats are the most common transport, and might get a geocache or two to add to the one I found at the Taj Mahal!

I've yet to find the beads I had hoped to buy here. I hate buying Indian made glass beads in NZ but not being able to find them in India! Did see beds being made at small villages near here, but not the large ones I like to use for prayer beads.

Have seen more temples than I'd like and met some amazing people from all faiths, many tribes and several language groups.

Have been given three sets of clothes . .. just in appreciation for my teaching.

One Indian man complimented me by telling my hosts that I was not hard work and did not create stress. Comments?

I ate tonight in a local home and didn't have enough local language skills to politely refuse what I thought might be questionable. I'll pray . . . and I brought some appropriate medications, just in case. Hate to . . . uhm . . . sensitive . . . while traveling on trains and such.

Anyway, here I go again. Where I'll end up I'm not exactly sure but I love an adventure . . .
