While I cannot, do not, endorse all of their content, the crazy Kiwi duo, Flight of the Conchords is creative, talented and real. Their lyrics and scripts often touch on truth that we gloss over and never stop and consider.This is the case with other borderline films, shows, books & songs . . . how to filter, discern and choose well . . . when there is socially redeeming value yet objectionable words, themes or images.
Some say throw it out, baby and all. Others say we should sift and keep what's of value. Some don't even notice the offensive content because it is in so much of what they hear at school or work.
Follow the Flight of the Conchord links and choose for yourself. Think about it, they bill themselves as New Zealand's fourth most popular digi-folk paradists.
One of the funniest things about it is that they were deemed not good enough by NZ TV and so had to go to USA to get paid more with international acclaim. Guess who's claiming them now!

Flight of the Conchords have put up a website on the internet. A spokesman from the band (Bret) said it there was a five year delay launching the website online due to a 'disagreement'. Apparently there was debate over how many times letter 'W' should appear in the 'WWW' part of the web address. While Bret wanted four making the domain name wwww.conchords.co.nz Jemaine was vying for seven with wwwwwww.conchords.co.nz. It turns out that you're only allowed three anyway.
